WHY ARE ORTHODONTIC TREATMENTS SO IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS?

There are many reasons for treating teeth and crooked jaws, in particular - to improve chewing, biting, speech and breathing capabilities. Another important goal is maintaining oral health. When the teeth are straight, they can be cleaned more easily, thus preventing tooth decay and gingivitis. Dental alignment is of course also a way to maintain our external and aesthetic visibility. Straight teeth provide self-confidence that makes us more successful in a variety of fields - Straight teeth affects confidence and impacts all aspects of our lives from career to social life.
If you need dental alignment treatment don’t delay!
Early diagnosis facilitates the process and opens more effective and simpler treatment options available to you. But, it's never too late for a nice smile! There are innovative methods and treatments for adults, that allow you to straighten your teeth almost without feeling.

WHEN SHOULD I START A TREATMENT?

It is usually recommended to start orthodontic treatment before the end of the growth of the adult teeth - around the age of 9 for girls and 10 for boys. But the exact time to start actual treatment is usually when the incisors and transverse teeth in the upper jaw grow out and exit of the gums.
In many cases, the development of the teeth are not in line with the general development and therefore age is of no importance. The first orthodontic examination should be performed at the age of 6, as it is already possible to determine if there are any abnormalities for this age. Preventive treatment for cross-sectional growth, overgrowth or reverse growth can also be addressed by simple means. It is also possible to correct distortion in the incisor teeth caused by finger sucking and thus improve swallowing, speech and lip functions while protecting the teeth of course. Often enough to handle the habit and wear a simple brace. * In some cases, you should also consider contacting a communications clinician.

These early diagnoses usually lead to the normalization of oral function and thus to continued normal growth, which often saves expensive orthodontic treatment later.

UP TO WHICH AGE CAN
YOUR TEETH BE MOVED?

Dental alignment is possible at any age - depending on oral health. The tooth is an independent unit and is not firmly attached to the jawbone of the fibrous tissue adjacent to the tooth, giving the tooth root a firm grip on the dental compartment - the alveoli. This leaves a small gap between the root surface and the dental cell wall, which is filled with flexible fibers. Our teeth move at any age and changes in tooth placement can occur alone or through orthodontic help and direction. Extremely strong chewing or biting can not cause tooth structure to move because it is a short-lasting pressure. In contrast, pressure exerted on the teeth over time affects their shape and orientation, even if it is gentle.

WHAT SHOULD PARENTS PAY ATTENTION TO?

Parents need to regularly monitor their children's teeth from infancy. Pay attention to their biting, sucking, breathing and swallowing habits, and not wait and discover the problems with the doctor. Here are some key tips to help you prevent curvature in your children's teeth:

Prefer soother over thumb
The soother can always be taken.

Pay attention if your children eat, breathe and swallow in a swallow in a healthy manner
Any abnormal habit can affect tooth growth.

Watch the growth of your teeth
So you can immediately see clearly if there is a problem, if your teeth are too far apart or growing differently.

Once your teeth have grown, you can immediately tell if there is a big difference between the upper jaw and the lower jaw (which is most often caused by sucking). If the upper teeth are far from the lower teeth, it is possible to stop the deformed development by stopping the pacifier at an early age.

Take your child to a specialist orthodontist at the age of 6
Already you can know if preventative treatment is right for you. Check now and it could save you a lot of expenses and stress in the future.

Let the milk teeth fall out on their own
Losing rope teeth prematurely usually leads to jaw deflections. The back teeth push the front teeth and when a tooth falls ahead of time the gap narrows between teeth which reduces the space needed for the new teeth to growing.

Keep your mouth healthy
Brush your teeth, reduce your sweet tooth and visit your dentist and dentist at least twice a year.

It is important to know that already at the age of the milk teeth there are orthodontic contraceptives that can shape the entire oral cavity for the better.

What is an Orthodontist?

An orthodontist is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention and correction of misaligned teeth and jaws.

In addition to dentistry school, orthodontists must complete at least three more years of specialized training.

Then, before a dentist gets the right to call oneself an expert orthodontist, must undergo a comprehensive examination that tests his understanding and knowledge in the field.

An orthodontist is only ready to receive patients after completing at least 9 1/2 years of study and training.

But that's not all! Orthodontists must always be up-to-date with the latest technologies and the most advanced treatments. This is through the constant reading of expert books that are constantly updated, engaging in various discussions, participating in events, attending congresses and completing dedicated courses, meetings with collegial training groups, etc.
